Offering is the practice of connection to something meaningful with respect and gratitude.

A Note on How to Offer Gratitude and Peace

Before the end of each practice we are invited to offer gratitude and/or peace to ourselves and others. In the reading practices there is some guidance on step 5, “Offering”. However, your unique expression is always welcome and can flow naturally out of the reading process.

It can be words, a bow, a loving look, hands placed on heart, hands placed together, a hug, smile, nature art, altar building, tears, really anything that is a heartfelt acknowledgment of being in relationship.

Through this practice of connection, we exercise the ability to become thoughtful as well as grow and share kindness for ourselves and others.

Our favorite ways to make an offering.

  • Blowing dandelions.

  • Keep a nature altar.

  • Shout “Thank you!” while on a hike.

  • Sharing tea or water with the Earth.

  • Hugs.
